IAVA Notice : VA Budget Signed Into Law

Dear Sean,

A few weeks ago, we told you that the VA budget was late, and we asked you to take action by calling Congress. You stepped up.

This was the 20th time in 23 years that Congress didn't pass the VA healthcare budget on time. Their delay meant veterans' healthcare was in danger of being rationed.

But because you took action and called your Senator, we have great news. This week, the president signed the VA budget into law.

Best of all, included in this year's budget was a provision to fund the VA a year in advance. That will happen every year, starting now - meaning the VA budget will never be late again.

With your help, we're making a huge difference in the lives of veterans of all generations.

Thank you for being involved.

Sincerely,

Paul

P.S. Can you take a minute to help us reach our end-of-year fundraising goal? Your generosity will help us continue our crucial work as we face new challenges in 2010. Thank you for your support.
