WNY VA Healthcare System : Opt in to Secure Messaging

You Deserve an Upgrade - As a Veteran and a registered My HealtheVet user, you have access to VA's most advanced technologies. Recently an upgrade has made My HealtheVet even more useful. Now you can send messages to your primary care team with Secure Messaging inside My HealtheVet.

Secure Messaging

Secure Messaging is your tool to ask questions about appointments, medication renewals or any other non-emergency matters regarding your health care. It's as simple as sending an e-mail.  A member of your primary care team will respond and you can sign up for notifications to the email address of your choice.

Get Started

It only takes a few minutes to get started with secure messaging. There are five easy steps:

1.       Sign in to My HealtheVet at www.myhealth.va.gov.

2.       In the red bar near the top of the page, click  SECURE MESSAGING

3.       Click Open Secure Messaging

4.       If you agree to the terms, select I have read the terms and would like to Opt in

5.       Click Submit – That's it.

Need Help?

For helpful tips on using Secure Messaging and signing up for email alerts, take a look at the Secure Messaging user guide. On the My HealtheVet page, click Help and then at the bottom of the new window, click Secure Messaging User Guide.

                or

Call the National My HealtheVet Help Desk at  1-877-327-0022 .
