Subcommittee Looks at Texas Program to Address Disability Claims Backlog

 

WASHINGTON, D.C.—On Friday, September 21, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 334 of the Cannon House Office Building, the Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs will hold a hearing entitled, "Breaking Through the Backlog: Evaluating the Effectiveness of the New State Strike Force Team." The Subcommittee will evaluate the efforts of a Texas initiative that places Texas Veterans Commission employees in each Texas Regional Office to assist with claims processing to determine if the practices and policies put in place can help reverse the growing disability claims backlog on a national scale.
