PenFed Foundation Launches Veterans Day With Love Contest

Contestants can email in their favorite photo of a service member or
vet to win an iPad 2

November 12, 2012, WASHINGTON – The PenFed Foundation, a nationally
recognized nonprofit organization working to meet the unmet needs of
military personnel and their families, recently launched the Veterans
Day With Love Contest to help put a face on this annual holiday. This
year, the foundation is asking friends and family of service members
or veterans to submit their favorite photo of their loved one.

"Veterans Day is a time to remember the people in our lives who
served," said Kate Kohler, chief operating officer of the PenFed
Foundation who is a former Army captain. "The goal of this contest is
to help share the love we have for those who have defended our nation
and sacrificed so much."

The contest will run through 11:59 p.m. EST on Nov. 30, 2012.
Contestants should submit their favorite photo of a service member or
veteran in their lives by emailing it to
withlove@pentagonfoundation.org with a short description. The PenFed
Foundation may share it on our Facebook page
http://www.facebook.com/pentagonfoundation. All entries have an equal
chance of winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of valid
entries received. Submissions can run the gamut from a formal photo of
a service member or veteran in uniform or just a casual snapshot of a
veteran taken with their spouse, other family members, or friends.

The PenFed Foundation will randomly select one entrant to win an iPad
2, a $450 value.

"For too many people Veterans Day is just an abstraction," added
Kohler. "We hope these photos remind all of us that service members
and veterans are everywhere and play an important role in all our
lives."
