67 Senators Sign Open Letter Urging Obama to End VA Backlog

Sean,

I'll keep this short and sweet: Wow. Thank you.

Because you took action, 67 senators signed an open letter to President Obama urging him to end the VA backlog. Anybody in Washington will tell you that 67 signatures from both sides of the aisle -- that's two-thirds of the Senate -- can't be ignored. Especially with buy-in from leadership like Majority Leader Reid and Minority Leader McConnell, and veteran senators like John McCain and Frank Lautenberg.

In a span of 24 hours, more than 1,300 of you called your senator. 96 senators heard from at least one of you, and some of them heard from hundreds of you. That's huge -- that's power. Last week, you showed the President that our bipartisan coalition is loud, strong, and united in this fight to end the VA backlog.

None of this would be possible without your help and the support of our coalition partners like The Mission Continues and the Reserve Officers Association. We are a movement that cannot be stopped.

Stay tuned for the next action at IAVA.org.

Thanks again,

Tom Tarantino, Chief Policy Officer
