Miller Statement on Isakson's Diagnosis

Chairman Miller Statement Regarding Senator Isakson's Diagnosis

WASHINGTON, DC – In light of Senator Isakson's recent announcement, Chairman Miller has released the following statement.

"Johnny Isakson is a good friend and a valuable partner in our effort to fix the Department of Veterans Affairs. He continues to be a leader in bringing accountability to VA by not only helping to create the Choice Program, but ensuring it is implemented effectively. From the minute he became Chairman of the Senate Veterans Affairs' Committee, we have worked together seamlessly to enact important legislation like the Clay Hunt SAV Act and provide critical oversight of the department. Senator Isakson has not allowed this diagnosis to slow him down one bit, and I look forward to continuing to work with him. The citizens of Georgia and the veterans of America could not ask for a better advocate." -- Rep. Jeff Miller, Chairman, House Committee on Veterans' Affairs
